Bishops Stortford Running Club organises two annual open events. The 'Stortford 10' and the 'BSRC Charity Fun Runs'. 'Get set' for more details below.

The 'Stortford 10'

This year (2008) the Stortford 10 went metric ( now a 10km race) and moving to earlier in the year. This allows us to use Bishops Stortford Rugby Club as an HQ, much closer to the start

The annual 1-MILE RUN fun run and school’s challenge trophy takes place this year at Grange Paddocks on Sunday 16th September 2007. We hope you can join us again this year. All runners that complete the course will have a commemorative medal There is also the team trophy in the 4-MILE RUN, and for the 3rd year WE ALSO HAVE A 2-MILE RUN, ideal for school years 7-13, which this year, we have extended to year 13 to cover all those in secondary education. The entry cost has also been reduced.

Please note for the one mile run, information will be sent to the schools. However if you are unsure that your child’s school will field a complete team or you wish to secure their place now then please send in the individual form attached with your child’s school filled in. We will enter them together with other entries from the same school. Please indicate their school year from this September.

The one mile race is divided into two competitions. Infants - (Reception, Year 1 and Year 2) and Juniors - Years 3, 4, 5 and 6 with separate trophies, and individual prizes for the 1st three girls and boys, which this year, due to increased numbers, will be run as two separate races. The Juniors (Key Stage 2) starting at 2.00 pm and the infants (Key Stage 1) starting at 2.15 pm.

The 2 mile run will be a school team competition and individual prizes for the first 3 girls and boys. and will start with the 4 mile race at 2.30 pm, after the infants race has finished.

The 4 mile run is an open event with teams where the winner takes all, but all have fun.

Please send your entry form with a S.A.E and cheque to the address shown on the form. We will then return your running number and a sponsorship form as we are raising money for The Rhodes Art Centre, www.rhodesbishopsstortford.org.uk
